Podcast Marketing: Practical Tips, Tricks and Tactics for Success

How are people growing their podcasts? We tackle that question and offer marketing advice for podcasters.

How are people growing their podcasts? Come and hear real life examples from our panel of experts, who all have their podcasts in the top 10% of podcasts globally (per Listen Notes). We’ll share what we’ve learned and are still learning! Our last meetup was very interactive so bring your questions and comments and be prepared for another high energy discussion where all can participate. About the panelists:

Chris Vaglio is a multi-talented entrepreneur, mentor, advisor, and creative professional with a passion for helping others build a ROCK STAR brand. He is widely recognized for his achievements as the cofounder and co-owner of Grey Sky Films, a video production agency that he started in 2000 and grew into a 7+ figure company before successfully exiting in 2020.

Currently, Chris serves as a fractional COO + Chief Creative Officer of UCS Advisors, a business advisory firm that provides guidance and mentorship to business owners and entrepreneurs since 2017.He is also the founder of Rock It Growth Agency, a mentorship brand for creative professionals. Additionally, he currently hosts two podcasts, Song Swap Showdown and Rock It Live, and has directed and produced two short comedy films and numerous music videos.

Mike Ham is the voice behind the popular podcast, “Greetings From the Garden State“. Traveling up and down New Jersey, Mike brings his listeners the stories of the people and places shaping the Garden State. Not only is he a Jersey diehard, he is also a respected member of the podcast community and has spoken at several podcasting conferences. As he continues to amplify the voices of New Jersey, Mike Ham remains a passionate advocate for the diverse narratives woven into the fabric of the Garden State. After working for nearly a decade in sales and marketing, Mike started podcasting in 2020 and has built two successful shows from scratch, launched a production company, and is now a full-time content creator. The embodiment of the term “bootstrapping,” Mike focuses on building and engaging communities and creating content that serves those communities.

Stacy Sherman is an award-winning keynote speaker, author, advisor, and podcaster focused on Doing Customer Experiences Right as a brand differentiator. She’s created a Heart & Science™ framework that accelerates loyalty and revenue fueled by an empowered workforce. Stacy has held multiple leadership roles at major companies over the past 25 years, such as Liveops, Verizon, Wilton Brands, AT&T, and Schindler Elevator. What differentiates Stacy from others is that she brings real-life examples and customer service experience best practices from being in the trenches as a strategist and practitioner. Stacy’s strategic skills are not limited to business—she is also a serious backgammon player who has traveled internationally to compete. A mother of two human kids and two furry ones, Stacy and her husband of 28 years live in the New York metro area.

Elizabeth Gearhart is an entrepreneur and a podcast and radio show host. She helped her husband Richard build Gearhart Law, an Intellectual Property law firm founded in 2006, by focusing on marketing for the firm. She and Richard started the Passage to Profit Show about entrepreneurship on iHeart radio in Manhattan in 2018; the show became nationally syndicated 4 years later. The show is now on about 30 radio stations nationwide, and is also a podcast, ranked in the top 3% of podcasts globally per Listen Notes. Elizabeth hosts two other podcasts, The Jersey Podcats with Danielle Woolley that they started in 2022 to help find a cure for a cat, and Ghost Stories: The Flip Side, a story telling podcast that she uses for research. Elizabeth believes that YouTube will be very important for podcasters in 2024 and is using her time researching both YouTube and podcasting best practices.
